Language classes in small groups of 6 students

We want to find a good mix with you in the language course. You can bring in your hobbies, interests and questions, and you should! We will build on this and work on cool projects together. All in connection with some vocabulary and grammar, but without it feeling like school. If you are there with your own interest, this is the basis to really learn something.

Classes are held in small groups of no more than 6 children per teacher. This allows for a high level of individual focus and plenty of opportunities for speaking and understanding.
The language course takes place from Monday to Friday from 9h15 to 12h45. In the Ski+Snowboard Camp and in the Surfcamp Portugal the language courses are in the afternoon.

9h00 - 9h30: Movement & play
We combine the first session of the day with movement and games. If the weather permits, also outdoors, so that even the last of us wakes up! Repetition of what has already been learned creates a sense of achievement.

09.30 - 10.30: Listening, Understanding, Speaking combined with Learning Strategies
It becomes more theoretical but without boredom! We encounter learning strategies for at home. Concentration phase with tension & relaxation.

10.30 - 11.00: Break
Tea, water & fruits are provided.

11.00 - 12.30: Project work
You decide together which projects you are interested in! We combine your interests with already learned and new elements. Of course, everything will be done in the target language.
The project work will be presented together on Friday. Don't worry: Everyone is at least as nervous as you are and in the end it is never embarrassing but always mega fun!

Language levels & classification

We roughly differentiate according to the following language levels of the Common European Framework of Reference:

A1 - Beginner
A2 - Basic knowledge
B1 - Advanced language use
B2 - Independent use of language

The placement of the young people in the language courses is primarily done according to their level. Our teachers evaluate the written and oral skills of the children on the day of arrival. Age and interests are also taken into account.

Intensive course

  • 17.00 - 18.30: If you want to (or have to :/ ) do extra shifts in French or English, you have the opportunity on Monday & Wednesday. In the fri-LoLo - intensive course you can improve grammar, listening & speaking.
  • Duration: 2x 90 minutes
  • In even smaller groups
  • 3h additional language course for only 120 CHF extra

  • Degree, ideally in linguistics, education or social work or in training.
  • Experience in working with children and young people.
  • Native speakers or teachers with professional qualifications from Switzerland and around the world.
  • Valid first aid certificate.
  • We require an extended certificate of good conduct not older than twelve months from all team members.

Personality counts for us

We want interesting characters who can reach, engage and inspire the children in class. A good teacher does not necessarily have to be a trained teacher. Everyone still knows the demotivated teachers from their own school days! The different professional backgrounds and interests of our teachers are an elementary building block in the diversity of our atéliers, sports programs and evening programs.

With enthusiasm, patience and passion for a stay full of good humor, laughter, learning and lasting memories.
